Violencia de género en mujeres migrantes venezolanas en Perú: explorando la respuesta estatal y el rol de las Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil
Abstract
En el contexto de la migración venezolana, muchas mujeres migrantes se han visto
inmersas en situaciones de violencia basada en género, una problemática que no
distingue nacionalidades. No obstante, debido a la situación de vulnerabilidad en la que
se encuentra inmersa esta población, esta problemática puede afectarlas de manera
particular durante todo el proceso migratorio. Pese a su urgencia, son limitados los
estudios que han evaluado cómo se está respondiendo a este asunto en el Perú. Dentro
de estos, se ha reconocido la importancia de las Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil
(OSC) para la atención a la población migrante frente a diversos retos que trae consigo
la integración a un nuevo país, brindándoles acceso a servicios frente a la ausencia del
Estado. Tomando ello como punto de partida, este breve trabajo de investigación tiene
como objetivo analizar el rol que cumplen las OSC en la atención a la VBG en el caso de
la población migrante. Para ello, se realiza una revisión de la literatura sobre la VBG en
casos de mujeres migrantes, haciendo énfasis en los casos de mujeres venezolanas
estudiados en la región, y sobre el rol que han cumplido las OSC en la atención a diversas
necesidades de la población migrante. Se concluye inicialmente que las OSC vienen
cumpliendo un rol necesario en la atención a la violencia, frente a la inatención del Estado
peruano; no obstante, se propone la necesidad de continuar la investigación analizando
un caso empírico en Lima Norte.
