De redes de apoyo a organizaciones sociales: migración venezolana y protagonismo femenino en el caso de la Asociación Civil Gran Mujer Ámate y Valórate (GRANMAV)

Abstract

Desde su llegada al Perú, los migrantes venezolanos enfrentan distintos desafíos que impiden su integración pacífica con la comunidad peruana, como la precariedad laboral, el acoso y la xenofobia. Esta situación los mantiene en un estado de vulnerabilidad tanto social como económica que afecta, especialmente, a las mujeres migrantes. Por tal motivo, las migrantes venezolanas comenzaron a formar redes de apoyo social entre sus compatriotas que, luego, se formalizaron en organizaciones sociales de migrantes con el objetivo de promover la integración con la comunidad local. Ante lo mencionado, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo general analizar el proceso de organización de las mujeres migrantes venezolanas en la Asociación Civil GRANMAV para superar los obstáculos de la migración. Para ello, se realizaron doce entrevistas a profundidad a las miembros fundadoras de la Asociación Civil GRANMAV, enmarcadas en la metodología “historia de vida”. Por medio de esta herramienta cualitativa, se encontró que este grupo de mujeres migrantes venezolanas en Lima establecieron redes de apoyo social informales, a través de plataformas virtuales (Facebook, WhatsApp y Zoom) y encuentros presenciales, para superar los obstáculos de la migración. Posteriormente, con el apoyo de la ONG HIAS, estas redes se formalizaron en la Asociación Civil GRANMAV, la cual busca ayudarlas a superar los obstáculos de la migración, proteger sus derechos y facilitar su proceso de integración.

Since their arrival in Peru, Venezuelan migrants face different challenges that prevent their peaceful integration with the Peruvian community, such as job insecurity, harassment, and xenophobia. This situation keeps them in a state of both social and economic vulnerability that especially affects migrant women. For this reason, Venezuelan migrants began to form social support networks among their compatriots, which later became formalized as migrant social organizations with the purpose of promoting peaceful integration with the local community. Given the aforementioned, the present work has as general objective to analyze the process of organization of Venezuelan migrant women in the GRANMAV Civil Association to overcome the obstacles of migration. For this, twelve in-depth interviews were conducted with the founding members of the GRANMAV Civil Association, framed in the "life history" methodology. Through this qualitative tool, it was found that this group of Venezuelan migrant women in Lima established informal social support networks, through virtual platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp and Zoom) and face-to-face meetings, to overcome the obstacles of migration. Subsequently, with the support of the ONG HIAS, these networks were formalized in the GRANMAV Civil Association, which seeks to help them overcome the obstacles of migration, protect their rights and facilitate their adaptation and integration process.
