Abstract
principales.
Innovation is seen as the key to the growth of developing countries. In order to bring the industrial sectors to renewal, it is essential to enter into innovation. In this way, companies are able to increase their efficiency, effectiveness and ensure their permanence in the market. In the innovation process, one of the most important drivers is the absorption capacity that describes the skills of companies to acquire, assimilate, transform and exploit knowledge, in this way organizations are more proactive and sensitive to opportunities in your environment. In this research, an empirical analysis is undertaken to determine the impact of engrossing capacities on the innovative performance of companies in the manufacturing sector. The study focuses on this sector because it is the main activity in the generation of added value in the country. The results of the study confirmed the significant and positive influence of absorption capacity on innovative performance. For further analysis, absorption capacity was analyzed according to the origin of research and development expenses, and includes the effect that perceived cost innovation barriers could exert. In addition, the impact and implications of innovation activities on the overall performance of the company are examined. This study bases its analysis on different statistical techniques such as the multiple linear regression model and the analysis of the major components.
