Identidad nacional, tolerancia a la trangresión e ideologías políticas en adultos residentes en Lima.

Abstract

En el presente estudio se buscó ver la relación de la Dominancia Social (SDO), de la percepción de un sistema normativo transgresor y del cinismo político en los niveles y valoración de la identidad nacional de los individuos. La prueba fue realizada en sujetos pertenecientes a las clases medias-altas residentes en la ciudad de Lima Metropolitana (N=156). Para los resultados se llevaron a cabo análisis de correlación de Pearson y comparaciones de medias. Los hallazgos mostraron,por un lado, niveles bajos de SDO en la muestra, pero, por otro, se encontraron medias altas tanto en la percepción de un sistema normativo transgresor como en cinismo político. Se observó que tanto la identidad nacional como su valoración no tuvieron relación alguna con los niveles de SDO en los sujetos ni con las variables que miden la presencia de un sistema normativo transgresor. En cambio, si se encontró que la percepción del sistema normativo transgresor se relaciona inversamente con el estereotipo de peruano “Moral”. Así, se concluye que a pesar de ser consientes los peruanos de vivir en una sociedad donde se transgreden las normas y donde existen desigualdades políticas y sociales, su identidad nacional no se ve afectada. El auto-considerarse como poco morales es una característica que no los afecta, pues ven este rasgo necesario para poder lidiar con un estado corrupto. De este modo, la identidad del peruano se mantiene positiva pues se forma por factores circunstanciales que permiten valorarla de este modo.

In the present study we try to see the relation of Social Dominance (SDO), the perception of a transgressor normative system and political cynicism in the levels and the valuation of national identity of the individuals. The test was realized in subjects belonging to the high middle class living in the city of Lima (N=156). For the results there were performed the analysis of Pearson's correlation and comparisons of means. The findings showed, on one side, low SDO levels in the sample, but for the other side, were found high levels in the mean of both the perception of a normative transgressor system and the political cynicism. It was observed that both, the national identity and his valuation do not have any relation with SDO's levels in the subjects, neither with the variables that measures the perception of a transgressor normative system. However, they found that the perception of the normative transgressor system hasa inverse relation with the stereotype of Peruvian “Moral”. Thus, it was concluded that despite being aware the Peruvians of live in a society where the rules are violated and where exist a political and social inequality, the levels of the national identity are not affected The self perception as slightly moral person is a characteristic that does not affect, since they see this feature necessary to be able to fight with a corrupt state. Therefore, the identity of the Peruvian remains positive since it is formed by circumstantial factors that make it remains positive.
