Creer en mí, una vez más

Abstract

Dada la coyuntura por el Covid-19, la producción de diferentes obras audiovisuales ha ido en aumento por la facilidad que brinda el mundo digital. Este nuevo contexto lleva al profesional de lo audiovisual a buscar nuevas formas de poder reinventarse y contar historias. Por ello, en Confiar en mí, una vez más se profundiza y reflexiona sobre la labor del realizador audiovisual en tiempos de confinamiento a partir de la experimentación del lenguaje audiovisual, y exploración performativa como una forma de transmitir emociones, además de la simbiosis entre ambos frentes para lograr contar una historia que invite a la reflexión final de los espectadores. En otras palabras, demostrar el poder del audiovisual para guiar las subjetividades de los espectadores y crear nuevas formas de contar historias sin necesidad de palabras. Confiar en mí, una vez más muestra el viaje interno por diferentes capítulos de la vida por el que atraviesa un bailarín para poder descubrirse y aceptarse, todo ello contado a través de la simbiosis generada entre performances y el lenguaje audiovisual. Los objetivos por lograr son los siguientes: 1) incentivar la reflexión sobre el difícil proceso por el que atraviesa un joven bailarín homosexual que busca dedicar su vida al arte, específicamente a la danza a partir de una inmersión performativa, 2) mostrar el proceso por el que atraviesa un joven bailarín para lograr su descubrimiento y autoaceptación a través de un viaje interno performativo y 3) exponer y describir el rol de los bailarines varones en la danza clásica, así como el tecnicismo presente en el desarrollo de la danza. Con el fin de lograr estos objetivos, se recurrió a la teoría de la videodanza y coreografía de la mirada brindada por Alejandra Toro, así como a la Antropología de los sentidos de Constance Classen.

Given the situation due to Covid-19, the production of different audiovisual works has been increasing due to the ease provided by the digital world. This new context leads the audiovisual professional to look for new ways to reinvent himself and tell stories. For this reason, Confiar en mí, una vez más explores and reflects on the work of the audiovisual producer in times of confinement through the experimentation of audiovisual language and performative exploration as a way of transmitting emotions, as well as the symbiosis between both fronts to tell a story that invites the final reflection of the viewers. In other words, to demonstrate the power of the audiovisual to guide the subjectivities of viewers and create new ways of telling stories without the need for words. Confiar en mí, una vez más shows the internal journey through different chapters of life that a dancer goes through in order to discover and accept himself, all told through the symbiosis generated between performances and audiovisual language. The objectives to be achieved are the following: 1) to encourage reflection on the difficult process a young homosexual dancer goes through in order to dedicate his life to art, specifically to dance, through a performative immersion, 2) to show the process a young dancer goes through to achieve his discovery and self-acceptance through an internal performative journey, and 3) to expose and describe the role of male dancers in classical dance, as well as the technicality present in the development of dance. To achieve these objectives, the following theories were used: the Videodance and Choreography of the Gaze provided by Alejandra Toro, as well as Constance Classen's Anthropology of the Senses.
