Representación de mujeres víctimas de trata de personas en los medios impresos de mayor lectoría de Lima
Abstract
Esta tesis hace un análisis de las representaciones de las mujeres víctimas de trata de personas con
fines de explotación sexual en los diarios impresos de mayor lectoría de Lima. Mediante el análisis
de las noticias como un síntoma, se muestra los procesos de construcción de la representación,
para lo cual se visibilizan los encuadres y modos discursivos utilizados por el discurso mediático.
Finalmente, se procede a problematizar las representaciones de víctimas identificados, tanto en las
narrativas escritas como visuales, teniendo como eje el cuestionamiento del uso de la categoría
víctima. Asimismo, se pone a debate la responsabilidad periodística dentro de la construcción y
reproducción de las noticias, para así desmitificar que el producto noticioso es objetivo. Las
conclusiones de esta tesis hacen un engranaje de la conceptualización de la Trata de Personas con
fines de Explotación Sexual elaborado por Rita Segato y el análisis de las representaciones en los
medios, con la finalidad de visibilizar las interrelaciones entre los discursos y las prácticas sociales.
