individuos de este sitio tuvieron un modo de vida similar; To date, there is little knowledge about the health and lifestyles of the inhabitants of Cerro de
Oro during the Middle Horizon period. For this work, individuals excavated by the Cerro de
Oro Archaeological Program and by Julio César Tello in 1925 were analyzed. Through this
research we sought to delve into the possible differences in the quality of life of the inhabitants
of Cerro de Oro during the Middle Horizon. through the comparison of health status
(specifically the prevalence of non-specific stress indicators) between the various groups that
make up that society (different age, ethnic, gender, social status groups and inhabitants of
different “neighborhoods”). The results of this research indicated to us that the inhabitants of
Cerro de Oro had similar health and ethnic markers, and that almost the entire sample presented
the same pathologies and the same type of cephalic modification. This leads us to think that
this society was structured under a communal socio-political organization, which is why
possibly the individuals at this site had a similar way of life

Phan Rivera, Julio Luis
tradiciones al adaptarse a su nuevo entorno cultural.; The present investigation is based on the incidental discovery of three burials of Chinese
immigrants from the late 19th and early 20th century in Carabayllo, Lima during the
archaeological monitoring work of the Cálidda company for the installation of gas pipes
in 2018.
Chinese immigration to Peru is a phenomenon that occurred during the 19th century, in a
context of chaos and wars in China; and, on the other hand, the lack of labor for the
agricultural sector in Peru. Despite the large amount of historical information about
Chinese migration, there is not much archaeological information about their funerary
practices after their arrival in the country, because the archaeological investigation of the
Chinese migration is still in an early stage.
The hypothesis of this investigation is that the Chinese immigrants changed their funerary
practices, differentiating themselves from their Chinese compatriots by decreasing the
use of traditional elements and incorporating Western and Christian elements. For this
purpose, the sepulchral information of these three individuals was compared with
published data on Chinese immigrants and on Peruvians from the 19th century. In
addition, osteobiographies of their lives were made, to get us closer to the life (and death)
of these people. Our results show that Chinese migrants largely maintained many of their
funerary traditions and identities without incorporating Western elements, but at the same
time, they were unable to maintain many of their funerary practices due to a lack of
resources or because they changed their traditions as they adapted to their new cultural
environment.

Roman Aquino, Katherine Annlise
recursos a través del tiempo.; This thesis, carried out as part of the Paracas Archaeological Research Project, represents
the first systematic study of the change in the absolute and relative frequenciesof different
species of invertebrate marine fauna extracted by fishing communities during the third
millennium before the present in Disco Verde, Paracas Bay and Karwa,
Independencia Bay.
It considers the units of archaeological stratification, stratigraphic period and
occupational period to explore their variations and correlate them with the
environmental and social changes that occurred during that time. In this sense, this
research raises the possibility to detect changes in the strategies used by these early
human populations in the exploitation of these resources through time.

técnica de confección y el diseño de la decoración del textil.; Color is an intrinsic part of our lives as humans, it is present in all things and therefore
we are closely related to it. In this way, we find in objects that surround us an infinity of
colors that often hide their origin from us. These colors paint, stain and color different
surfaces such as fabrics, which are an important group of objects in our daily life. A
yellow tablecloth, a pair of blue pants, a set of pink sheets, a green shirt, a red carpet and
so on, all of them are made from the intertwining of colored fibers. In the archaeological
site of Cerro de Oro, a variety of textiles have been found that are distinguished for their
different designs where colors are an element that stands out but of which we know very
little about their function and origin. Due to this, the main objective of this study is to
identify the color range of a textile sample from an excavation unit in Cerro de Oro,
located in the Cañete valley, in order to delve into the practice of dyeing which has been
little investigated and that presents to be an important moment in the process of
elaboration of a textile. Likewise, fiber, technique and iconography are also analyzed in
order to observe their relationship with the color variable. Through this, we will try to
demonstrate that the colors in the Cerro de Oro textiles are of a very variable range and
that they were applied in a differentiated way according to the type of fiber, the
manufacturing technique and the design of the decoration of the textile.
