Analyzing teaching practices that promote socio-emotional development in early childhood education is crucial for establishing an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age. In this context, this research is formulated around the question: What teaching practices promote socio-emotional development as the foundation for an entrepreneurial attitude in 4- and 5 year-old children in two educational institutions (EIs) in Metropolitan Lima? The objectives are to identify the teaching practices that promote socio-emotional development as the foundation for an entrepreneurial attitude in 4- and 5-year-old children and to describe the strategies that foster this development. The methodology implemented in this descriptive qualitative research has allowed the collection of information through the application of a semi-structured interview and an observation guide; the informants being two classroom teachers of 4-year-olds and two classroom teachers of 5-year-olds. The results show that socio-emotional development occupies a prominent place in the teaching practices of the teachers in this study, becoming a central element in their daily interactions and a key component for fostering an entrepreneurial attitude from an early age. This is reflected in the way the teachers support and guide the learning process. In this sense, the research concludes that there is a need to consolidate pedagogical approaches that recognize the cross-cutting value of socio-emotional development and promote intentional, reflective, and contextualized teacher intervention.
