Resumen
La regulación emocional docente permite gestionar las emociones de manera
efectiva. Es importante para crear vínculos entre colegas, la comunicación, sobre todo
el bienestar personal. Este estudio es de enfoque cualitativo y tipo descriptivo con el
objetivo de analizar las percepciones y prácticas de las docentes de Educación Inicial
sobre la regulación de sus emociones durante la jornada laboral en una institución
educativa privada de Santiago de Surco. La investigación es cualitativa, de tipo
descriptivo. Se realizó técnicas de observación y entrevista. Las informantes fueron
docentes de Educación Inicial a cargo de las aulas de 2 y 3 años. La pregunta de
investigación fue: ¿Cuáles son las percepciones y prácticas de las docentes de
Educación Inicial sobre la regulación de sus emociones durante la jornada laboral en
una institución educativa privada de Santiago de Surco? Los resultados muestran que
las docentes identifican estrategias en gestión emocional, reciben apoyo de su equipo
de aula, lo que muestra la relevancia de las redes de apoyo. Asimismo, reconocen
que las experiencias que atraviesan influyen su proceso de regulación de emociones.
Teachers’ emotional regulation enables them to manage their emotions effectively. It is important for building bonds among colleagues, for communication, and above all for personal well-being. This study adopts a qualitative, descriptive approach with the aim of analysing the perspectives and practices of early years teachers regarding the emotional regulation during the workday in a private educational institution in Santiago de Surco. The research is qualitative and descriptive in nature. Observation and interview techniques were employed. The informants were early years teachers in charge of classes for 2- and 3-year-olds. The research question was: What are the perceptions and practices of early childhood education teachers regarding emotional regulation during the workday at a private educational institution in Santiago de Surco? The results show that the teachers identify strategies for emotional regulation and receive support from their classroom team, highlighting the importance of support networks. Furthermore, they recognise that their personal experiences influence their emotional regulation process.
