This research deals with representations of the masculine expressed by men deprived of their freedom by sexually assaulting older women. It also analyzes its explanations of sexual violence in order to understand how the masculine exercise of the same is sustained to maintain and / or restore the status. To carry out the analysis, the qualitative methodology will be used through data collection techniques (in-depth interview, free association, constitution of pairs of words, life story) related to social representations in four inmates of the Cañete Peni tentiary Establishment - Province from Lima. Among the findings of the investigation, it is found that these men have internalized the mandates of the referential model of masculinity, which dignifies them in front of themselves and the others. These mandates include adherence to codes of heteronormativity, rejection of homosexuality and women devaluation. Also, it is found that inmates believe that a rape victim can be a boy or a girl, but not an adult woman. For them, a rapist is a sick person; While women who report being victims of rape are represented by the figure of the other, the woman of the street. This image allows the aggressors to deny their responsibility . Explanations for the exercise of violence (physical and sexual) provided by prisoners are linked to the devaluation of women and the force of the mandates that make them prey to the possible exposure of the fragile nature of their masculinity. These phenomena are framed in a context where women manage to occupy areas traditionally dominated by men. The sexual assailant remains close to the victim's environment, which was generally attacked in situations of vulnerability.es_ES
